David Wilkerson Famed Pastor Predicts Imminent Catastrophe

A respected pastor, best-selling author and founder of a major ministry to teens predicts an imminent “earth-shattering calamity” centered in New York City that will spread to major urban areas across the country and around the world – part of what he sees as a judgment from God.
David Wilkerson, author of “The Cross and the Switchblade,” a book about his ministry to troubled New York street kids that was later made into a movie starring Pat Boone, tells readers of his blog this weekend that he is “compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message” about his prediction.
“An earth-shattering calamity is about to happen,” he writes. “It is going to be so frightening, we are all going to tremble – even the godliest among us.”
Wilkerson’s vision is of fires raging through New York City.
“It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires – such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago,” he explains. “There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting – including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
I also had a vision many years ago. It involved a major metropolitan city. The sky was black, and the streets were full of people who’s faces were blurred. Cumming toward the city was a wave so large that it surpassed the tallest buildings. The wave however took the form of many destructive forms such as Guns, money, knives, (too many to remember). Just before the wave hit, a man was standing a few feet away from me with his hands wide open. I knew only but to follow him not wondering or asking why. This man led me into a room where he spread out his arms pulling tile from the ground and taking the form of a cross on the wall. When I looked for the man he was gone. It was Jesus Christ. Excited, I exited the room heading toward the outside. I quickly spoke of this to many people; “Come inside I have something to show you!” When they came inside the room, the cross was still present but they could not see it. Laughing at me they left the room. Once again, I left the room to find my mother in her minivan waiting outside just before the wave hit. I asked her “what is going on?” She responded, haven’t I been telly you, its the end of the world!” As we drove off, another man was standing next to the car similar to Christ but darkness and evil emanated from him. He was holding a ball in his hand (earth) tossing it up and down

I believe you 100%…The United States needs to wake up to reality that we are in the end times and God is getting ready to judge the sins of the world. Thank you for this bit of information so I can be prepared.

I started weeping last Sunday.March the 8th for no appaerent reason.I was looking at a singing program,but the weeping continued all day! My wife asked me why ,I was weeping . I told her ,I didn’t know,all I knew was that I felt something was about to happen,That would shake the nation and the world!
I didn’t know if it was the rapture,or if some disaster ,was about to happen!
I read the article ,of what David Wilkerson said,concerning something was about to happen ,that would shake the nation and effect
New York and other cities in the United States.
I do not claim to be a prophet,but I do know God does nothing without warning his people.

What does God have to do to get the people of America awake to the Truth of His Word. 9/11, Katrina, earthquakes, volcanos, and floods and yet they still deny Him and promote filth. Incredible.
Who! I just that I would look up prophacys today and I came across your sight and I was over taken by the headline! imminent catastrophe! In early feb I had gone to bed aboutt 9pm and I felt that I had awaken out of my sleep and I was high above a building that was large and white and the other building around were alot smaller,and their was someone standing next to me but could not see who it was.I felt that I had been in aconversation with this person for awhile And I asked this person standing next to me (When will this happen?) well the person did not answer me but looked over to the large white building and as I turned to look, a man in a suit came out of a sliding glass door that was located at the top of this building and he was holding a single peice of paper, and he looked down at the paper and said JUNE 20th and then in my mind the date june 20th repeated as I seen my self drifting back to sleep as I stood there. Its like the lord awaken me inside a dream and I was only given a date then went back to sleep in the dream. When I awoke the next day and thought alot about the dream and I came to my own understanding that the person standing next to me didnt answer me but the man in the suit did. made me think that what is going to happen will be by man and not by god. just thought I’d share that.

The Lord granted me a brief vision (symbolic in nature) preceding the great financial collapses of 2007-2009, so I know that He does warn His children (as well as unbelievers) well in advance. He is so merciful for doing so, is He not?
I prayed when I heard this, I have heard of Pastor Wilkerson but know nothing of him. I was sitting in church and I prayed Lord, if this is true we are not to be afraid because we know we are safe in you, and even if this prophecy does not come to past, I am still gonna believe in you. I asked God if He would give me when will these events take place, I glanced over at my mother taking notes and I clearly saw June 29, 2009 (I don’t claim to be a prophet) and part of me still wants to doubt what I saw.
