HR 1388 National Service Program – Youth Will Not Be Allowed to Express Religious Beliefs?

HR 1388.  The House passed the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act on Monday. The bill includes language indicating young people will be forced to participate in mandatory national service programs. The bill also states that “service learning” will be a mandatory part of the youth curriculum.

However what is really interesting about this bill is that the mandatory youth plan also forbids members from attending religious services and forbids youth from witnessing their religious beliefs. How this will be interpreted remains to be seen but here’s a copy of the bill so you can read it for yourself.

  1. What exactly to they intend to force my children then to participate in? It sounds to me that the “powers that be” want only their own agenda supported since they are also not to “attempt to influence legislation”. Forgive me if I am mistaken, but does anyone remember Hitler’s youth program?

  2. how could this possibly be enforced? How would parents let their children be subjected to this kind of teachings? Where did this bill originate and how come it is not talked about on the news networks?

  3. Over my dead body will I allow the government to dictate what my children are or are not allowed to do or believe concerning the Creator of Heaven and Earth. They can try to inforce this bill all they want, but for me and my house, we WILL serve the Lord!!!

  4. This should be sent to Fox News/perhap one of the Patriots there will research and report on this.
I am overwhelmed by the amount of subversive acts of this Congress and the “blindsiding” that the American People are taking while being entertained with “fake” rantings by Pelosi,Frank,Dodd,Reid, etc. All a show to keep us looking the other way while they STEAL our childrens future. I am disgusted totally with BO. What a shameful president.
